Melbourne-based Limoncello brand Solbevi has just launched their Solbevi Limoncello Spritz in New Zealand, bringing the Italian summer lifestyle to Aotearoa. To support local, Solbevi are producing all their New Zealand stock in Auckland, and the lemons used in the base limoncello have been rejected by retailers, reducing food waste.
Wine and liqueur based spritz beverages such as Limoncello and Aperol and Campari have become synonymous with summer in Europe. Every New Zealand winter my Instagram feed fills with people in beautiful Italian settings enjoying a spritz on their European summer holiday.

About Solbevi
If you’ve flown with Qantas in the past year you might have had a Solbevi Limoncello Spritz in transit. Since mid-2024 Solbevi has been available on select Qantas flights and in First and Business Class lounges.
There is an inspiring story behind this limoncello brand – Stefan, the brand’s founder took his family’s Limoncello recipe and spent over three years perfecting it with modern mixology. He quit his career in construction to pursue his dream of starting a limoncello company.
Fun, relaxed and thirst-quenching, Solbevi has the convenience of an RTD with heritage and flavour. It is a perfect addition to celebrations and everyday drinking occasions. It is also vegan and gluten free and contains all natural ingredients.

Trying the Solbevi Limoncello Spritz
Solbevi Limoncello Spritz has a vibrant lemon flavour and really captures the essence of sunny Italian summers. It has the freshness of tangy citrus perfectly balanced with a refreshing kick. It’s enjoyable straight out of a cold can, or over ice. It is very refreshing, had just the right level of fizz, and is something to savour.
In New Zealand you can find Solbevi online and at Super Liquor stores for around $28 in 10 packs which are designed for sharing. At 4.2% alcohol a 250ml can is equivalent to .8 of a standard drink. Hopefully the limoncello itself will be released in New Zealand shortly!
Thank you to Solbevi for sending me a supply of your Limoncello Spritz to try!
