Oh yes those boat kitchens are crazy! Also the staff quarters hiding a good 11 people in a tiny space. The cruise we did was a three day/ two night one but the company also offers an overnight option on the same sailings. Wow sounds like you had a very quick trip to Ha Long Bay! Hope you still got to spend some time cruising!

The middle day was the best day so I think it was a good amount of time. Nice to have a day when you’re not coming or going! No oysters were provided to eat sadly, have been right into the New Zealand ones since I’ve been back.

That’s so funny that they just replaced your fellow travelers and you did the whole thing again another night. Why was that? Was there an option to make a 1 night tour into a 2 night tour and they just doubled up? We did a 1 day tour to Ha Long Bay. It was gorgeous but I wish we had stayed a night instead. It was a very early start in Hanoi in the morning and late home that night but it was great that they pick up and drop off, I would hate to try and navigate myself in a hurry.
