Thanks so much Lizzie, have the best time in Hong Kong! Definitely visit Origin, Dr Ferns’ Gin Parlour and The Optimist are also highly reviewed Hong Kong bars recommended for gin lovers but I did not have time to explore them myself unfortunately.

I highly endorse eating, eating and eating when in Hong Kong! I just googled it and cable car opened in 2006 soooo it’s not that new haha but I have heard tour groups etc. tend to go via the ferry and bus route to get to Lantau Island.

DO IT! I can’t believe it took me so long to get there – I’d been through the airport a few times but it was effectively my 34th country. So much to see do and eat and well worth the trip.

When I’m there I mostly just eat and eat… and then eat some more XD the food there is so cheap (and good)! I did visit Lantau Island though I didn’t know there was a cable car?! I just took a ferry and then a bus to the Big Buddha. Wonder if the cable car is a new thing… if not, this is really quite embarrassing haha.
