Wanderlust Tag

The Wanderlust Tag is not new but I saw this post in my ‘bloglovin feed today which inspired me to complete it while I am out of lives on Candy Crush (whyyy did I download it?!).  Leave me a link at the bottom if it’s one you’ve completed!

Where was your first plane to?

My first plane was from London to New Zealand when I was 11 months old. Where it was via I have never asked. The first flight I actually remember was from Napier to Wellington with my mum and brother having visited my grandparents when Dad had had to drive back home earlier for work.

Where have you travelled to that you would love to visit again?

Las Vegas, Amsterdam, Paris.

You’re leaving tomorrow, money is no object, where are you going?

Christmas Markets in Berlin, Winter Wonderland in London, then Hawaii to warm up again.

Preferred method of travel; planes, trains or car?

Planes, it’s just so much quicker.

Favourite Travel Website?

At the moment I’m loving www.worldofwanderlust.com and want Brooke’s life!

Where would you travel to just eat the food?

Mexico. I’ve waved at the border but am yet to travel there. Mexican food is the best.

Is there a place you would never go again?

I can only think of Samoa just because I feel like I’ve seen it, it wasn’t that much and I’d much prefer to go elsewhere instead.

Can you recite your passport number from memory if asked?

I have two passports – a UK one and a New Zealand one. The UK one I would not have the first clue but my New Zealand one I can recall the letters which make up the first bit. As it’s renewable every 5 years I just get to the point where I know it and then it changes.

My Air New Zealand Airpoints number I do know!

Do you prefer the Window, Aisle, or Middle seat?

Window on domestic to enjoy the view. Aisle on International as I can’t sleep on planes (make that any form of transport, anywhere without a bed and anywhere not completely dark and silent).

How do you pass the time on the air plane?

Read for the first couple of hours until my eyes hurt too much, watch movies, eat and drink and pace up and down while everyone’s sleeping quietly hating them. I also like to do ballet stretches outside the toilets!

I don’t think anyone likes being climbed over no matter how well they know each other, haha

It’s very handy especially as they are great passports to hold – the only Visas I have ever applied for at this point are US ones!

Amazing job she has right! I only hope she’s paid decently otherwise the amount of travel she does would be terribly expensive as well as lonely and draining at times.

Well you have got me hooked on to World of Wanderlust! Would love her life too haha! Lovely answers, makes me wish I could get on a plane and go now!

I haven’t read world of Wanderlust but will definitely be checking it out now 🙂
Oh, and I’m with you on window seat for domestic and aisle for international (well, anything over 5hrs), having to climb over someone (even if you are travelling with them, is such a pain!)

I discovered World of Wanderlust recently and it’s hard not to want her life, what a dream to travel for a living! Anyway… 2 passports must be so handy, visas can be so annoying. 😛

I’m glad I’m not the only one who does ballet stretches in odd places haha. Sounds like you’ve travelled quite a bit, it’s making my wanderlust even stronger! I answered this tag too – check it out here: https://www.thisismeagankerr.com/wanderlust/

I love reading these! And it’s always good to come across other people who can’t sleep on any form of transport. We are indeed unique
